Trekking is one of the main activities you can undertake while staying at Shikhar Nature Resort, Uttarkashi. Various trekking tours could be undertaken starting from one day long to six days, from easy to moderate treks. We can also provide basic camping equipment and personal gear if required at an additional cost.

Dodital Trek
05 Days

Cost: 03-04 pax– Rs.15,300 per person
       : 06-07 pax – Rs.14,600 per person

Dodital is situated at an elevation of 3024m, north of Uttarkashi and is surrounded by dense forests of oak, pine, deodar and rhododendrons. The crystal clear lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan golden trouts. The trek ascends gradually through thick forest and beautiful mountainous scenery


Day 1: Uttarkashi
On arrival enter in Shikhar Nature Resort (SNR), located at the bank of River Bhagirathi. After welcome tea/coffee allotment of the tents. Dinner & Overnight at SNR.

Day 2: Uttarkashi – Kalyani – Agoda – Bhewra
Breakfast at the dinning area in the resort. After breakfast drive to road head at Kalyani (1550 mt). Start your first day's trek to Bhewra (2160 mt) few km after Agoda (2050 mt) by covering approx. 8 kms in 04 to 05 hrs. The trek passes through dense forest. Arrive Bhewra and set-up camp near water fall for overnight stay.

Day 3: Bhewra – Majhi – Dodital
After breakfast start the trek to Majhi. Stop here for lunch. Majhi has few Shephard hut and it offers very beautiful view of Darwa Top. After lunch continue Trek to Dodital (3024m), in about 4-5 hrs. Dodital is a beautiful lake surrounded by forests of Pine, Deodar, Oak etc. Lake is full of Himalayan Golden Trouts. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Dodital - Agoda - Kalyani – Uttarkashi
After early breakfast trek down to Kalyani with packed lunch. On reaching the road head, drive back to the Shikhar Nature resort. Dinner & Overnight at SNR.

Day 5: Uttarkashi Departure
Morning after breakfast, check out from the resort to proceed onward destination

Dayara Bugyal Trek
04-05 Days

Cost: 02-04 pax - Rs. 12,915 per person
       : 05-08 pax - Rs. 10,500 per person

Minimum person required: 02 pax

Bugyal in the local language means "high altitude meadow". The road to Dayara Bugyal branches off near Bhatwari a place on Uttarkashi - Gangotri road about 32 kms. from Uttarkashi. Vehicles can go up to the village of Barsu from where one has to trek a distance of about 8 kms. to reach Dayara. Situated at an elevation of about 10,000 feet above sea-level this vast meadow is second to none in natural beauty. The panoramic view of the Himalayas from here is breathe taking.
Gaumukh Trek
06 Days

The River Ganges or the Ganga is the most sacred river in the Hindu religion and its source at Gaumukh on the Gangotri glacier is one of the holiest destinations for Hindu pilgrims. Our trek takes us to Gaumukh (translates to cows mouth), the mythological source of the River Ganges, which is at the snout of the Gangotri glacier.


Day 1: Haridwar/ Rishikesh – Uttarkashi
Morning meet at Railway station or Bus station at Haridwar / Rishikesh and drive for Uttarkashi. On arrival enter in Shikhar Nature Resort (SNR), located at the Bank of River Bhagirathi (Ganges). After welcome tea/coffee we will allot the tents. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Uttarkashi – Gangotri
Morning after breakfast drive (95 Km / 2-3 Hrs) to Gangotri (3048 m) passing through Harsil a scenic settlement of the Budhist people and a 354 feet high span bridge at Bhairav ghati. Gangotri is the place where the daughter Ganga from Heaven landed on Earth. There is a Temple of Goddess Gangotri on the right bank of the river. Upon arrival check in the Hotel for Lunch, Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gangotri – Bhojbasa
Morning after an early breakfast and with packed lunch start trekking (14 Km / 4-5 Hrs) to Bhojbasa (3658 m) following the river Bhagirathi. From Bhojbasa you can have majestic view of Bhagirathi group of peaks. Dinner and stay at the Camp / Tourist Bungalow.

Day 4: Bhojbasa - Gaumukh – Bhojbasa
Morning after breakfast trek (8 Km / 3-4 Hrs) to reach Gaumukh, the source of river Ganges. One can have a wide view of the peaks in this region. Return trek to Bhojbasa (9 Km / 4-5 Hrs). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 5: Bhojbasa – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Morning after breakfast with packed lunch trek (14 Km / 3-4 Hrs) down to Gangotri. On arrival drive (95 Km / 2-3 Hrs) to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival check in the Hotel / Camp for dinner & the overnight stay.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Rishikesh/ Haridwar
Morning after breakfast, start drive for railway station or bus station at Rishikesh / Haridwar.

Yamnotri Trek
Yamunotri is one of the four sacred Dhams (Pilgrimages) in the Himalayas for the Hindus. Yamuna River originates from Yamunotri. The temple is approachable by road and short trek from Phoolchatti. However, for more adventurous, the route is little away from the normal pilgrimage route. Passing through many lakes like Dodital , Ruinsara Lake and Yamunotri Pass, the trek to Yamunotri becomes an adventure pilgrimage. The trek route passes through many high altitude meadows and passes offering excellent view of Swargarohini group of mountains.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Rishikesh by covering appox. 220 kms in 05 - 06 hrs. Arrive and check- into hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Rishikesh. Visit Yoga Ashrams and temples. In the evening, witness Ganga Aarti. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3: Rishikesh - Uttarkashi
Morning drive (155 km) to Uttarkashi (1150 mt). Uttarkashi is the base of many trekking and mountaineering activities in Gangotri Valley. Also India"s premier Mountaineering institute "Nehru Institute of Mountaineering situated at Uttarkashi. In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 4: Uttarkashi - Kalyani - Bhewda
Morning after breakfast drive to the road head Kalyani (1550 M) and from here start your first day"s 17 km trek to Bhewda (2160 Mt) few km after Agoda (2050 M) by covering appox 17 kms in 03 to 04 hrs. The trek goes through dense forest. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.

Day 5: Bhewda - Dodital
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Dodital (3024 M) by covering appox 13 kms in 4-5 hr. Dodital a beautiful Lake surrounded by forests of Pine, Deodar, Oak etc. Lake is full of Golden Trouts. Overnight stay in tented camp.

Day 6: Dodital
Day at leisure to explore the area around lake and relaxation.

Day 7: Dodital - Darba Top
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Darba Top (3500 M) by covering appox 12 kms in 04 to 05 hrs. From the Darba Top one can have panoramic view of Mt. Kala Nag, Banderpunch and its satellite Peaks. Camp below the Darba Top for overnight stay.

Day 8: Darba Top - Hanumanchatti
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Hanumanchatti (2400 M) by covering appox 15 kms in 05 to 06 hrs. Arrive and check-into Tourist Bungalow for overnight stay

Day 9: Hanumanchatti - Yamunotri
Morning after breakfast trek to reach Yamunotri (3000 mt.). Yamunotri is source of another holy river - Yamuna and one of the holiest places for Hindus. Overnight stay at tourist bungalow/ tents

Day 10: Yamunotri - Ruinsara Lake
Morning after breakfast start trekking to cross the Yamunotri pass (5500 mt) and reach over to Ruinsara Lake (3900 mt). Overnight stay in tent near the Ruinsara Lake.

Day 11: Ruinsara Lake - Deva Thach
Morning after breakfast trek to reach Deva Thatch. Trek along the valley. On arrival put up tents for overnight stay.

Day 12: Deva Thach – Harki Doon
Morning after breakfast trek to reach Har-Ki-Doon, a beautiful meadow open and green. This hanging valley, popularly known as "Valley of Gods" is one of the least explored region of Garhwal and a treat for trekkers. It offers very beautiful view of Swargarohini peaks. Since Har-Ki-Doon lies in Govind Pashu Vihar, so there are good chances of finding some wildlife here. Overnight in Tented Camp.

Day 13: Har-ki-Doon
Day to explore the Har Ki Doon Valley. Normally during monsoon, the valley is full of wild Himalayan Flowers

Day 14: Har-Ki-Doon - Seema
Morning after breakfast start return trek (13 KM) to reach Seema after crossing Osla. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.

Day 15: Seema - Damti
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Datmi which is approx, 2-3 km before Taluka. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.

Day 16: Damti - Sankri - Naugaon
Morning after breakfast (14 km) trek back to Sankri via Taluka. On arrival drive to drive (55 km) to reach Naugaon which is a very beautiful village. Overnight stay in guest house / tented camp.

Day 17: Naugaon - Dehradun - Delhi
Morning after breakfast cross the river by bridge to visit temples of Lakha Mandal which is associated with Pandava from Mahabharat. Later drive to Dehra Dun railway station to board Train (Shatabdi Express). to Delhi. Met on arrival at rly station and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 18: Depart - Delhi
Optional sightseeing tour of Delhi. Later transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.

Kauri pass Trek
Lord Curzon made the trek to Kuari pass , and since then it has come to be known as Curzon"s trail. It is very popular among European and American Travelers. In 1905 Lord Curzon reached Kuari pass from Ghat via Ramni. Today many trekkers prefer to undertake the trek in the reverse direction. The main attraction of Curzon"s trails is the majestic view of the twin peaks of Nanda Devi , Kamet , Dronagiri and Hathi-Ghodi Parvat.

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Met upon arrival at Delhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi - Rishikesh
Drive to Rishikesh (225 km) via Haridwar. Rishikesh is known as "Gateway to Himalayas" and center of Yoga & Meditation. In the afternoon visit various Ashrams and Temples. Enjoy the "Ganga Aarti" in the evening. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3: Rishikesh - Ghat
Morning after breakfast drive to reach Ghat (1331 mt) by covering approx 220 kms (7-8 Hrs). Arrive Ghat and overnight stay in tents.

Day 4: Ghat - Ramni
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Ramni (1982 Mt) by covering approx 10 kms (4 Hrs). Arrive and overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Ramni - Semi Kharak - Jhanjherni
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Jhanjerni (2015 Mt) via Semi Kharak by covering approx 13 kms. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Jhanjherni - Panarani
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Panarani (2043 Mt) by covering approx 12 kms. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 7: Panarani - Senatoli
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Senatoli (2486 Mt) by covering approx 17 kms. Overnight stay in tents

Day 8: Senatoli - Dakvani - Kuari Pass
Morning after early breakfast start trekking (10 km / 4-5 Hrs)) to cross Kuari Pass (4268 Mt) via Dakvani mostly through Oak & Rhododendron forest. From the Pass you can have a breathtaking view of Nanda Devi and other numerous peaks. Overnight stay in tents on the other side of the pass.

Day 9: Kuari Pass - Auli
Morning after breakfast start trekking (24 km / 6-7 Hrs)) to reach Auli (2519 Mt). En route cross the famous bugyals (meadows) of Gorson and will also get views of the route leading to the famous Nanda Devi sanctuary, along the Rishi Ganga. Auli has one of the longest ski slopes and one can also have a panoramic view of the Nanda Devi group of peaks. Overnight stay in tents / Hotel / Tourist Bungalow.

Day 10: Auli - Joshimath - Rudraprayag
Morning after breakfast drive (108 km) to reach Rudraprayag. (5 Hrs). Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 11: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh
Morning after breakfast start your journey to Rishikesh (250 km). Arrive and check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Rishikesh - Delhi
Drive 225 km to Delhi. En route stop at Haridwar to visit Har-Ki-Pauri Ghat. Continue driving to Delhi and on arrival check-into hotel for overnight stay.

Day 13: Depart Delhi
Optional sightseeing of Delhi. Later departure transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination

Binsar Trek
The trek starts from Thalisain via Pauri, an enchanting hill station presenting a panoramic view of the Garhwal Himalaya snowy peaks, and on a clear day the sunset is worth seeing from Kondolia, 5 kms. from Thalisain the trek trails through a very rich forest of deodar, silver, fir, pine and oak and wildlife.

Duration : 7 Days


1st Day: DELHI - PAURI
Drive to Pauri. Lunch enroute. Arrival Pauri. Sight-seeing programme at Pauri. Dinner and overnight at TRH Pauri.

2nd Day: 1-4 kms. drive to Thalisain with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in camp.

3rd Day: 13 km trek to Pithsain with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in camp.

4th Day: 7 kms. trek to Binsar with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in camp.

5th Day: 20 kms. trek to Gairsain with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in camp.

6th Day: 226 kms. drive to Rishikesh. Lunch enroute. Arrival Rishikesh. Tour concludes
